These delicious Ritz crackers topped with rich choclate toffee give the perfect balance of sweet and savory and are very easy to make.

Chocolate Toffee Pecan TreatsIngredients:

1 sleeve Ritz crackers

3/4 cup pecans finely chopped

Additional 1/4 cup pecans finely chopped – set aside

16 tablespoons butter

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon salt

8 ounces dark chocolate

Arrange the Ritz Crackers on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.

Toast the pecans in a 350° oven for about 6 minutes.

In a saucepan combine the butter, sugar, water, and salt. Clip a candy thermometer to the side of the saucepan and over medium heat, stirring occasionally until temperature reaches 305°.

Add vanilla.

Working very quickly, spoon mixture over crackers. Don’t worry about it running over the edges, it will harden.

Melt chocolate in the microwave or over double boiler and spoon over toffee on crackers and then sprinkle with remaining pecans.
